Playgrounds for Key Stage 1

A fun, two hour 'hands-on' technology workshop for up to 30 pupils in Years 1 or2. This workshop supports Unit 1B 'Playgrounds' in the QCA Scheme of Work.

Our experienced teacher will use LEGO DACTA ® Early Structures Student Sets (9660) with the pupils assisted by their class teacher to:

  • investigate slides, swings, spinning rides and climbing frames

  • build from a Building Instruction Cards a spinning ride and swing

  • design and make their own item of playground equipment.

This workshop can be extended into a three and a half hour workshop and used to support a 'Gifted and Talented' Programme.
