Motorised Vehicles

A fun, two hour 'hands-on' technology workshop for up to 36 pupils in Years 5 or 6. This workshop supports Unit 6D 'Controllable Vehicles' in the QCA Scheme of Work.

Our experienced teacher will use LEGO DACTA ® Powered Mechanisms Student Sets (2009645) with the pupils assisted by their class teacher to:

  • investigate how electricity is used to drive motors

  • build from a Building Instruction Cards a three wheeled motorised car

  • design, modify and race their own motorised vehicle

This workshop can be extended into a three and a half hour workshop and used to support a 'Gifted and Talented' Programme.
